In November 2011, Sheldon Lobel, P.C. obtained a special permit and waterfront certification from the Department of City Planning, allowing the Broad Channel Volunteer Fire Department to construct a much-needed new firehouse in a residential district in Broad Channel, Queens, Community District 14. The special permit and waterfront certifications were obtained in an extremely expedited timeframe, with ULURP completed and final approvals obtained four months after applications were filed with the Department of City Planning.
