In October 2013, Sheldon Lobel, P.C. successfully obtained a variance for Evangelical Church Letting Christ Be Known to permit the construction of a new two-story house of worship in the Baychester neighborhood of the Bronx, contrary to rear yard, side yard, and front yard regulations. The variance permitted development of a highly irregularly shaped lot that would otherwise remain vacant, and allowed Evangelical Church Letting Christ Be Known to build a permanent house of worship to meet its programmatic needs. The proposed church that was approved by the NYC Board of Standards and Appeals was designed by Peter F. Gaito, Architects, Engineers, Planners.
